160 Meter Tuner Range Extender for 43` Verticals

Forty-three foot vertical antennas have become very popular in recent years. However, on 160 Meters, these antennas have a very high reactance and high voltage at the antenna feedpoint. Tuning with an autotuner results in maximum efficiency 80-10 Meters, but conditions at 160 Meters present a major challenge for most tuners. To get around this problem, the MFJ-2904 range extender is added at the base of the antenna to increase 160 Meter matching capabilities.

Reduces reactance and puts the antenna in the range of the automatic or manual tuner. Potentially damaging high-voltage currents are reduced preventing damage to the tuner. Handles 1500 Watts. Housed in weather-resistant PVC housing. Ceramic feedthru connectors for input/output. Shorting jumper connection when 160 Meters is not in use. 3 " x 3 " x 11". Use with MFJ-998RT /MFJ-994BRT or other automatic/manual tuners.
