Heil BM - 17 Dual Headset (Single Sided + Dynamic)

Designed for serious amateur radio operators, the Heil BM-17 Single-Sided Dynamic Headset delivers exceptional comfort, clear communications, and flexible operation in a lightweight package. Ideal for portable, contest, and everyday operating, the newly redesigned BM-17 features a swivel-mounted boom arm that can be positioned on either the left or right side, allowing operators to customize their setup for maximum convenience.

The single-ear design keeps one ear open to your surroundings while providing crisp receive audio through a highly sensitive speaker that requires minimal AF drive from your transceiver. The headset's low-distortion speaker offers a frequency response of 200 Hz to 5 kHz, ensuring clear and intelligible communications.

At the heart of the BM-17 is Heil's proven BM-D dynamic microphone element, engineered specifically for amateur radio communications. The 500-ohm low-impedance dynamic element provides excellent voice articulation and operates across a frequency range of 120 Hz to 10 kHz, making it compatible with most transceivers that support low-impedance microphone inputs.

Comfort is enhanced by replaceable acoustic foam ear pads and an adjustable padded headband with an internal stainless-steel support band that can be gently shaped for a personalized fit. The microphone terminates in a 1/8" mono plug, while the headphone connection uses a 1/8" stereo plug, with a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter included for added versatility.

Compatible with Heil AD-1 series adapter cables (sold separately), the BM-17 can be easily integrated with a wide range of popular amateur radio transceivers.
