Kingston Technology manufactures SD and micro-SD flash memory cards for Whistler digital handheld and desktop radios. Kingston started from humble roots in 1987 when two friends got together to form a garage start-up. Today, it is a global company.

The popular radio scanner acts like a disk drive. It can be written to and read by a scanner or a device like a computer. Secure Digital cards can become corrupted, which causes them to stop functioning and one of the main reasons for this is the power abruptly cutting off the radio. Radios, like all electronic devices, need to be shut down properly. An unexpected shutdown is when you should consider a replacement SD card.

At Nevada Radio, Kingston is a valued part of our product range. It is renowned for its quality and high manufacturing standards, vital if you are replacing an SD card in a valued Whistler unit.
