I remember Nevada from my CB days and I was looking for a radio and saw this one in our local Maplin I 5thought I would give it a try.

It is pretty bulky, but I think that helps with the sound quality, which on FM is pretty good to be honest, I think the size of the speaker also helps.

DAB is not bad either, never been that fond of DAb, but the stations I listen to are fine, with clear audio if a little whimpy, due to DAB itself being not that great.

the radio goes loud enough for general use, I got it for work and I can hear it from one end of a large warehouse to the other.

Controls are easy to use, very easy in fact, the tuning knob is large and easy to turn, buttons are laid out nicely.

Display is very clear, that is the one thing I do like about DAb is the info the display shows.

I have not tried it on battery, so I have no idea how long they will last

Great quality radio, seems to be built well, not sure if it would survive being dropped mind you. there is a small recess on the back of the case, which I presume is to help you carry it

One small problem, well it may not be a problem, but there is no way to update the software if it needs updating, but then if the software is fine then no need to update.

A good buy, could be a fiver less in price, so give it four stars.
