Description

The Sirio Gainmaster is a new Hi-Tech antenna for use on 26-28Mhz. Finished in white fibreglass

New base antenna from Sirio that gives great performance over 26-28Mhz covering both CB radio and 10 metre Amateur bands, and is designed by electromagnetic simulation to achieve the maximum gain and optimize the radiation pattern and bandwidth.

Engineered with the most available technology, manufactured in Italy from high quality materials.

The new design of the radiant element (patent pending), works like a central fed dipole, so all of the RF currents on the radiator are in phase and ground plane radials are not necessory. The co-axial coil at the bottom works like an RF choke for the optimum decoupling from the mast and feedline.

The Gain Master is made of telescopic fibreglass tubes, it is DC grounded for the best protection from static discharges. Sirio think it is the new reference standard in its class of antennas.

HI ALL. IVE JUST BOUGHT MYSELF THE NEW SIRIO GAIN-MASTER AFTER OVER A YEAR OF WAITING TO SEE WHAT OTHERS THOUGHT. SOME HAVE SAID THEY ARE CR AP BUT I STRONGLY DISAGREE. I HAD THE IMAX2000 FOR OVER 4 YEARS AN THOUGHT IT WAS THE DOGS BITS BUT THIS GAINMASTER HAS NOW TOOK OVER. MY IMAX WAS UP 40FEET TO BASE SO ROUGHLY 64FT TO TIP. I HAD THE IMAX GROUNDPLAIN KIT ON ALSO. THE IMAX LIKED TO SWING ABOUT ALOT IN THE LIGHTEST OF WIND AN ALOT MORE EXTREME IN A GOOD GUST. TX AN RX WAS FANTASTIC AN NO COMPLAINTS OUTA ME ABOUT THE IMAX. IT ALSO WORKED VERY WELL WITH ABIT OF HEAT RUNNING THRU IT....RITE....NOW FOR THE GAIN-MASTER. I HAD IT BUILT UP AN READY TO SWAP OVER FROM IMAX. GOT FEW SIGNAL REPORTS FROM 7 BREAKERS WHO WERE ON AIR ON UK FM AN MID FREQUENCY. I WROTE DOWN SIGNAL REPORTS AN ASKED ALL TO STAY ON FOR 30MINS TIL I SWAPPED AERIALS. DONE THIS IN 15MINS WITH HELP FROM MATE. GOT BACK ON AIR AN RUN THRU MY SIGNAL REPORTS AN YES. ALL GOOD. SOME ONLY GIVE ME 1 POUND DIFFERENCE AN FEW WAS 2 AN A HALF POUND DIFFERENCE OR S POINTS. BOTH SAME. SO YES THE GAINMASTER IN MY CASE IS BETTER THAN IMAX2000. MY RADIO USED FOR THIS WAS A PRESIDENT LINCOLN RUNNING 10 WATTS THRU MY ZETAGI HP 1000 TRANSMATCHER WHICH WAS ONLY USED FOR WATCHING SWR. NOTHING WAS ADJUSTED OR CHANGED IN SHACK. ONLY THE POLES WERE LOWERED AN SWAPPED AERIALS AN RAISED BACK UP TO SAME HEIGHT. IF YOU DO BUY THIS GAINMASTER AN WHEN BUILDING IT THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY TO ADJUST THE TOP SECTION WHEN ALL IS DONE. BOTH MIDDLE SECTION HAVE TO BE AT 1800MM EACH SO I DID THIS AN FOUND THAT IT MADE THE TOP SECTIONS HEAVY SO I ADJUSTED ALL SECTIONS SO WEIGHT WAS EVENLY SPREAD OVER EACH JOINING SECTION. MUCH BETTER JOB I THINK. IVE ONLY BEEN USING GAINMASTER FOR 2 WEEKS NOW FROM 30/07/11 AN ALLS GOOD. AS FOR WINDY CONDITIONS IT DOSENT MOVE NEARLY HALF AS IMAX2000 DID. SO FROM ME ITS SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN A IMAX2000 WITH A GP KIT ON. IF ANY ONE WANTS TO CONTACT ME WITH QUESTIONS OR WHATEVER PLEASE EMAIL ME AT 68DT242JASON@GMAIL.COM AN IL TRY AN HELP WITH WHATEVER....SORRY....ONLY BAD POINT ABOUT GAINMASTER IS THE PRICE. (dick turpin wore a mask as saying goes). I GIVE £120 FOR MINE BUT I HAVE SEEN THESE SELL FOR £180 WHICH YOU WOULD NEED TO HAVE A SCREW LOOSE TO PAY THAT. £120 WAS STILL DEAR BUT THEN AGAIN I GIVE £140 FOR MY IMAX2000 AN GP KIT. DEAR AERIALS FOR CB USE. FINALLY.. THE SWR ON GAINMASTER IS TRULY UNREAL. FROM 26MHZ TO 28MHZ IT IS NEAR FLAT. COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. IMAX STRUGGLED ON 26MHZ BUT THIS GAINMASTER HAS TO BE THE BEST PRE TUNED CB ANTENNA ON THE CURRENT MARKET PLACE. IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY THEN SPLASH OUT AN HOPEFULLY YOU WILL BE PLEASED .....OVER AN OUT AN BEST 73s TO ALL.....
The Sirio Gain master antenna is very very good. I have had a Sirio 827 and an Antron a99 both were ok. From Northampton to Rugby this antenna was up in signal by two S points and it can hear a hell of a lot better than either the Sirio 827 or the Antron A99 . The only one that better in my aerial range is my old Sigma 4. I can recommend the Sirio Gain Master antenna, you will not be disappointed all the best 73s 2E0WSJ
